A whole-system approach to our shared future

Make room for life.
Start with what works.

ChibiWawa aims to reduce pressures so Earth’s living systems can recover while humanity’s essential needs are met.

We look at the whole interacting global system: ourselves, other life and the planet that sustains us. This is an early-stage initiative, preparing a three-month foundation and research setup phase.

Two premises, together

Coexistence without complete agreement.

“We all want to live, and we will never fully agree on everything.”

When we disagree, we compare the available approaches by how well they support our shared wish to live, considering their consequences for the whole system. We choose the best-supported approach, examine its results, and revise it when the evidence shows it isn’t working.

The question we keep asking

Is it working?

We continually assess what we’ve done, what we’re doing, and what we intend to do by that question: Does it support life for ourselves and other life now and for generations to come?

Energy and water are urgent first interventions, not the limits or starting viewpoint of the framework. The aim is to move beyond continual firefighting, without creating harm elsewhere. Planetary recovery is an aim, not a promised outcome.

From principles to accountable work

The proposed first three months.

A practical setup phase, with clear targets and independent advice. These targets depend on funding, professional review, verification and people agreeing to participate.

By the end of month 2

Establish the legal and operational base

  • Target incorporation and registration of a Dutch foundation, with appropriate governing documents.
  • Set up bank accounts and clear authority, subject to provider checks.
  • Define a structure capable of future umbrella coordination, with legal and accounting advice.

By the end of month 3

Put oversight and participation in place

  • Target an agreed advisory board and independent oversight.
  • Establish a basic website with the mission, approved updates and budget summaries, targeting real-time public reporting of project financial transactions.
  • Begin a wider campaign for financial support and public backing.

The foundation is proposed, not yet incorporated. Advisors, accounting arrangements and website support are not secured. ANBI is a separate tax status, not a legal form or a guaranteed outcome.

Two purposes. Separate accounting.

A transparent working budget.

€29,200

Three-month working need, before platform and payment fees. Not a final approved fundraising goal.

€21,600

Personal founder support

€7,200 per month before tax, for three months. Covers rent, living costs and existing personal debts, allowing the founder to concentrate on the work. This is a working allowance, not verified salary or take-home pay.

€7,600

One-off setup allowance

Provisional provision for formation, legal and tax advice, governance, accounting setup, reporting and administration. These are allowances, not supplier quotes.

Initial work uses an existing home-connected workspace. Overlapping premises costs are counted once. Personal support and organisational setup spending remain separate.

What still needs confirming?

Supplier quotes, accounting and website scope, tax treatment, the recipient and payout route, and the final fee-inclusive goal. Formal audit, paid academics, a second entity and payroll overhead are not included in this setup allowance.

If funding falls short, the proposed priority is maintaining essential living and working costs. The exact order, minimum amounts, excess-funding policy and refund limits still need approval. Reduced funding may delay milestones.

Fundraising details will follow

GoFundMe is the preferred platform, subject to eligibility and payout confirmation. Donations would initially be received personally by the founder; any later transfer to a foundation requires review. No charitable tax deduction is promised. Fundraising details will be shared here once confirmed. No donations are collected through this website.

Open about the work. Careful with people.

Independence and accountability.

Support does not buy control

Donations do not buy influence, preferential treatment or control over our work. We accept funding only on terms consistent with our mission and independence, and use it for the purposes disclosed to donors.

Contributions are intended as donations, with no rewards, repayment, shares or investment return.

Transparency with privacy

Within the first three months, we aim to establish real-time public reporting of project financial transactions: each transaction’s amount, purpose, date and status, alongside a clear last-updated time. This is a development target, not a system already in operation or a promise of instant bank feeds. The reporting method, safeguards and achievable update timing still need to be established.

Fundraising totals and supporter counts will be clearly labelled. Donor identities remain private unless separately authorised for public listing. Account identifiers and sensitive raw financial records will not be published. The founder-support allocation and purposes are disclosed; individual personal purchases remain private.

Listing a supporter on our website would require separate, optional, explicit consent. Public platform names are not permission to republish them. Payment providers and legal requirements can limit anonymity.

Next step

Building the foundations.

Our first stage focuses on legal and financial arrangements, independent advice and a practical research programme. We will report progress against the same question we ask of every plan: is it working?

Follow the work as it develops.

We’ll update these pages frequently as the work develops. We will add research, examples and updates as the project grows, and revise our explanations when new evidence changes our understanding.
